A mom's ST view (new pics and links to more).....
I have to admit it - I think baseball addiction is becoming a problem in my household. My family loves baseball. My son plays baseball. I'm a native Atlantan and a life-long Braves fan. I've sat in the top row of Atlanta-Fulton County stadium when there probably weren't 500 people in the entire place ('cause that's where your seats were when you got free tickets for getting all A's...lol) We now live in a town with the low-A franchise (come visit - it's totally awesome!!) pretty much everything revolves around baseball now.....
So....when everyone started telling me how AWESOME spring training is, I just still wasn't convinced. How fun could it be to chase a 7 yr old all over an enormous sports complex for an entire week???!!! Well...let me tell you.....IT WAS TOTALLY AMAZING !!!! The accessiblity of players, both major and minor leagures was insane, and it was by far one of the best weeks ever. I'm not much of a writer, so I'm gonna try and just let the pictures speak for themselves. I met Gondee and CB (and one of his friends), and it was really nice to put faces with names. It was the best. Some of the pics had a little late-afternoon sun issue going on that I couldn't see at the time, but I hope you like them. Save your mone and go!!!! It's SOOOOO worth it. Rbravesfan :-)

Freddie Freeman is REALLY TALL !!!
Mac attack!!!

My favorite picture. Too bad I bumped the setting on my camera and the lighting is awful. :-(

You know who....
The view from my seat - vs. Marlins, Tuesday, March 16
Scott Proctor (this guy works SUPER hard..wow!!)

Glaus's INSANE averge at the beginning of the Marlin's game last week.....
Check out what's left of the bat. We saw this a LOT, in both the majors and the minors.
If you made it this far, thanks. If you are interested, there are lots more. They are roughly sorted into MLB and MiLB albums now....Atlanta Braves Spring Training 2010 and Braves MiLB Spring Training 2010.

nice job. High quality pics, very nice. Actually, that 2nd Heyward picture is very BA, I happen to like it more

Schafer and BWag could pass as brothers.

Love it
Lol’d at the Skoal or Redman always prevalent with Wags.
I’ll probably be heading up to Rome a few times this season, considering how much I enjoyed the park last year, and hopefully I’ll get to see some of the talents I didn’t get to see by not going to ST.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
who are the biggest dippers/chewers on the team
Wags and Chipper are…who else?

Chipper's moved on to gum
In recent years – he’s always being seen practicing his bubble blowing on TV. I think Buddy was the biggest chewer, I saw him a few times out at Gwinnett, and it looked like he ate tar sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

thats sick
i can handle a little, but some of those dudes probably go through a can a game.

Yeah...
I heard something about it a few years back. The league tried to keep players from dipping on the field for “role model” reasons and Chipper started mixing bubble gum and tobacco to make it less obvious. I think he still does it though…

Whenever I think of Oral Tobacco, I always think back to Bob Wickman throwing his wad onto the infield grass after blowing a save one time. Most disgusting thing I’ve seen at a ballpark.
"My God! Good news fans, the Braves are showing signs of life for the first time in weeks. As a matter of fact, they appear to be beating the crap out of each other."
Easy fix?

Great Job!
Haha! That Freeman/Hubby picture made me laugh out loud.

Nice pics
but whomever picked the Braves ST hats fucked up, bad.
Why not go all blue (withOUT stripes) , but here’s the twist…..make the two bottom parts of the bill Red. tell me if that wouldn’t look sick. like, a hint of the red, home hats.
it’s too awesome to fuck up, but oh well.. What? I’m a fan of the hats. lol
