Escobar out to improve on and off field
Looks like everyone's favorite enigma will be flying solo for interviews come midseason.
"While speaking about his desire to finally learn English this year, he added that he's always wanted to be a public person -- one who can not just communicate with an English-speaking media, but also get to a point where he can appear in English commercials that can maybe help him gain endorsements and more face time.
Since arriving in the Majors in 2007, though, that exposure hasn't really been there. In order to try to bridge the gap, Escobar said he's been doing his best to watch as much English TV as possible and has been constantly listening to CDs that teach him the language."
Any guesses on Yunel's favorite TV show? Jersey Shore or maybe This Old House?

HAHA. Yes. I'd love to hear whats on Jew-Nells mind
MATT DIAZ IS THE F**K*NG MAN.
They made me change my signature...
I'll admit
This is the first time you’ve ever made me laugh.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
Aw shucks
You flatter me with those kind words

Master of the backhanded compliment. Damn…
I wrote a novel, it's about baseball, you should buy it: https://www.createspace.com/3407939

"If I have asthma, they won't let me scuba. And if I can’t scuba, then what’s this all been about?? What am I working toward??"
well it's true
I don’t laugh a whole lot sitting in front of a computer.

When my dad was learning to speak english, he watched General Hospital…Soap Operas are perfect because the story lines repeat themselves and you can generally tell what is going on even if you can’t understand the language.

what about the 20-25 stolen bases
is he just saying that or did he actually like train for that because from what i remember he was pretty slow. Don’t get me wrong Esco’s one of my favorite players but you can’t just come out and say you want to steal 20-25 bases.
That's what I was wondering
Esco isn’t real fast and he gets HORRIBLE jumps off the pitcher. I love the guy, but he’d better not be getting thrown out all the time.
Plus, he’ll likely have Heyward and Diaz behind him…I’m sure he’ll have plenty of opportunities to run around the bases.

I'm reminded
of the last time a braves player came into spring announcing that he’d produce some arbitrary number more something. Frenchy thought training like a football player would make him a better baseball player. Right.
Let’s just hope Bobby continues to guide our erratic Cuban to what’s best for the team, not personal stats.
He could steal 20-25 bases...
with 21 CS.
The third-base umpire ran into the outfield and retrieved the biggest chunk. "It's a f***in' potato."

statistically speaking...
Arent SB only worth it if you are successful >75% of the time?

Yes
I’m just saying that’s the only way he could steal that many bases
