Using a consensus top 100 prospects list between Baseball Prospectus, Keith Law and Baseball America, I added where each prospect will be beginning the 2013 season. Well, almost all of them.
There are many additions and changes to Turner Field this year, most notably the retired numbers leaving the Sky Field. Instead, the retired numbers will be moved, now between the terrace and club levels along the left- and right-field lines. There is a new custom-merchandising shop where fans can customize merchandise. There is a new "Big & Tall" store. McCann's burgers will move to new locations. "Yicketty Yogurt", as coined by Chipper, is new. Chef Linton Hopkins will serve his award-winning Holeman & Finch Public House burgers at Turner Field this year. The double-patty cheeseburger topped with house-made ketchup, mustard and pickles was named the "South’s Best Late-Night Burger" by Southern Living magazine. Now it will be available in the Fan Plaza beyond center field. Dantanna’s restaurant also will serve their crab-cake sandwiches and sesame-steak skewers at a grill cart on the Terrace Level.
The Braves included are Teheran at 41 (improved), Graham at 85 (or 86), and Bethancourt in the honorable mention. Others of interest, Arodys Vizcaino sits at 112 as a Cub. And I was intrigued by his comments about recent prospect du jour around here, Nick Castellanos of the Tigers.
This is a good little article from David Schoenfield at THE ESPN basically confirming what all of us already know- Simba is going to be really good. Just a good reminder at how truly special Simmons' defense already is
Good read, with some great quotes. Chipper batted #3. Stark needs to do research.
