The Atlanta Braves will try to put Saturday’s tough loss behind them when they face the Washington Nationals in the rubber match of a three-game series Sunday afternoon at Truist Park. Max Fried will get the start for Atlanta while the Nationals will go with lefty Patrick Corbin.

The Braves will be without Freddie Freeman who is out of the lineup Sunday. Freeman left Saturday’s game after the first inning due to an upper respiratory infection. Brian Snitker said after the game that Freeman was sick all day Saturday but wanted to try and play. With an off day Monday, Freeman will get two more days to rest up.

With Freeman out, Dansby Swanson moves up to the third spot in the batting order. Austin Riley will hit cleanup and play first base while Ehire Adrianza will be at third place and hit sixth. Kevan Smith will catch Fried and hit eighth.

The Nationals will again be without outfielder Juan Soto, who made a pinch-hit appearance in Saturday’s game. Ryan Zimmerman checks into the lineup against the lefty and will hit third. Josh Bell will make his first start in right field this season and will be back in the cleanup spot.

Sunday’s game is scheduled to get underway at 1:20 p.m. ET and can be seen on Bally Sports Southeast.
