The Atlanta Braves will try to avoid a sweep Wednesday afternoon when they wrap up a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. Atlanta’s lineup for Wednesday will have a bit of a different look with the addition of catcher Jonathan Lucroy to the active roster. Atlanta selected Lucroy’s contract Wednesday morning while optioning William Contreras.
Lucroy is in the lineup Wednesday and will be hitting eighth. Orlando Arcia, who homered Tuesday, moves up to the fifth spot of the order. Dansby Swanson drops to sixth in the order while Guillermo Heredia gets another start in center and will hit seventh. Drew Smyly will get the start for Atlanta while Pittsburgh will go with righty Wil Crowe.
Jacob Stallings returns to the Pirates’ lineup for the finale. Jared Oliva starts in left field in place of Ben Gamel with the left-hander on the mound.
