Ozzie Albies named NL Player of the Week

A big week for the newly-minted All-Star.

The past few days have been full of accolades for Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies, who was named an All-Star on Sunday. On Tuesday, Albies was named National League Player of the Week.

This is the first such award for Albies, who batted .400 with three homers, 13 RBIs, and a 1.167 OPS in six games last week. On Wednesday, the 24-year-old went 5-for-6 with two homers and seven RBIs en route a 20-2 victory over the Mets.
