Atlanta’s lineup for tonight’s game and New York’s starter for the contest are both now public knowledge, so it’s time to talk about them.
First off, let’s start with Atlanta’s lineup as we usually do:

The top five is unchanged, and the bottom four consists of Stephen Vogt, Abraham Almonte, Guillermo Heredia and the pitcher’s spot. Almonte in particular played Game 1 of yesterday’s doubleheader, but Orlando Arcia got the nod for Game 2. Almonte is back in the lineup and he’ll be playing left field this evening.
Meanwhile, we finally got answer as to who’s starting for the Mets tonight and it’s Jerad Eickhoff. It’s an interesting turn of events for Eickhoff who was designated for assignment just a week ago. However, Eickhoff has done this song and dance with the Mets before. Behold, the wild ride of Jerad Eickhoff with the 2021 Mets:
