Braves look to even the series behind Charlie Morton

I thought about including “right the ship” in the title, but at this point it’s gonna take more than one game

After an extremely frustrating loss on Friday (what’s new), Atlanta will look to even the series against the formidable Dodgers. Charlie Morton will take the mound for the Braves and he is having a sub-par season by his standards, but has generally been non-disastrous, with a 4.26 ERA. The legendary Clayton Kershaw will face off against Morton for the Dodgers with his 3.33 ERA on the season. Any game against the Dodgers is always a tough matchup with their supreme talent, especially with Kershaw on the mound. Despite a rough stretch during this season, Los Angeles is 34-23 after defeating the Braves 9-5 on Friday. We keep saying this, but Atlanta really needs to kick into gear sometime soon if they want to make the playoffs, as they currently hold a record of 26-29 and are now 4 games behind in the NL East.
