The #Braves today recalled LHP Tucker Davidson to Atlanta after optioning INF Johan Camargo to Triple-A Gwinnett following last night’s game.— Atlanta Braves (@Braves) June 3, 2021
Davidson was in line to start one of the games on the previous road trip before multiple rain outs changed the plan. He has been lights out for Gwinnett this season allowing just eight hits and two runs in 20 innings spanning three starts. He has struck out 23 hitters over that span while walking just four batters. He hasn’t pitched in a game since May 23 where he allowed one hit, one run and struck out nine over six innings in Nashville. Davidson made one other start for the Braves this season allowing five hits and three runs over six innings to the Mets back on May 18.
Camargo has been a regular on the shuttle between Gwinnett and Atlanta so far this season. Despite having several stints on the active roster, he has seen limited playing time appearing in 14 games and is currently 0-for-15 at the plate with two walks.
