After completing a 3-3 homestand, the Atlanta Braves are headed north where they will open a four-game series against the New York Mets at Citi Field Monday evening with another doubleheader. Atlanta split a doubleheader Sunday against the Cardinals and will now face a critical week against the NL East leading Mets before moving on to Cincinnati.

Whether it is gamesmanship or something else, we don’t know a lot of specifics for Monday’s doubleheader. The Braves will start Ian Anderson and rookie Kyle Muller but have yet to announce what order they will go in. Jacob deGrom came away from his latest injury scare unscathed and seems like the odds on bet to take the ball in Game 1 but the Mets have not yet confirmed. New York also hasn’t announced their plans for Game 2 but Jerad Eickhoff is a possibility after he was promoted on Sunday.

New York is expected to activate infielder Jeff McNeil in time for Monday’s doubleheader. McNeil hasn’t played since May 17 due to a pulled hamstring.
