Saturday’s game between the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals has been postponed due to inclement weather. With rain moving into the Atlanta area and storms expected throughout the evening, they acted quickly in postponing. Saturday’s game will be made up Sunday as part of a split doubleheader with Game 1 slated to begin at 2:10 p.m. ET. Truist Park will be closed and cleaned following Game 1 with gates opening again around 5:30 p.m. Game 2 is scheduled to get underway at 7:08 p.m. ET. Both games will be 7 inning contests.
The forecast isn’t much better for tomorrow so we will have to wait and see if this happens. It is going to be a tough situation for the Braves who have another doubleheader scheduled for Monday in New York against the Mets.
The Braves haven’t announced their pitching plans but it is likely we will see Drew Smyly, who was scheduled to start Saturday, and possibly Bryse Wilson against the Cardinals.
