Kyle Muller’s stay on the active roster was a short one as the Atlanta Braves continue to add fresh arms to their bullpen. The Braves optioned Muller Thursday afternoon and recalled right-hander Jacob Webb to the active roster.
The #Braves today recalled RHP Jacob Webb to Atlanta and optioned LHP Kyle Muller to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Muller allowed four hits and two runs in one inning in his debut in Wednesday’s loss to the Red Sox. His short stay isn’t terribly surprising as it came as a result of Tucker Davidson’s early exit in Tuesday’s game. Atlanta needed a fresh arm for the bullpen Wednesday and Muller was initially scheduled to start for Gwinnett. He got in the game after Ian Anderson struggled and exited after the fourth inning. He will return to the Stripers rotation for now but could play a bigger part down the road.
Webb has struggled at the Major League level overall with a 5.63 ERA and a 4.79 FIP in 16 innings. He has made six appearances at Gwinnett where he has allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings.
