The Braves’ injury woes continued on Tuesday night as young left-handed starting pitcher Tucker Davidson exited the game in the third inning with an elbow injury. While elbow injuries are always a concern with pitchers, there was some fairly encouraging news following the game, per manager Brian Snitker.
Snitker said Davidson tested well after leaving the game. But he'll undergo a MRI tomorrow and then go on the injured list

Davidson’s velocity dropped in the 3rd inning after sitting in the mid-90s to begin the game. We will have to wait and see what the MRI shows, but the early prognosis is certainly better than a catastrophic elbow injury. Here’s hoping some rest and rehabilitation while on the injured list will be enough to get Davidson back on the mound this season.
Davidson had pitched well in spot duties this year, most recently filling in the rotation for the injured Huascar Ynoa. One would assume Bryse Wilson or Kyle Wright will fill Davidson’s void in the rotation this weekend.
Stay tuned for any additional updates on Davidson.
