The Phillies go way inside twice and hit Ronald Acuña Jr. on the hand with a 97-mph fastball. pic.twitter.com/yoBc7LKFej— Bally Sports: Braves (@BravesOnBally) May 9, 2021
Acuña slammed his helmet in frustration and was clearly in a lot of pain. He was helped to the dugout by the team’s training staff and was taken for further examination.
Acuña hit a game-tying home run off of Coonrod back on April 11. Saturday’s at-bat was the first time he had faced him since.

UPDATE - X-Rays on Acuña’s left pinky were negative and he is considered day-to-day. The Braves dodged a big bullet here.
