In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Marcell Ozuna threw out another guy at the plate. That’s the good news. The bad news is that Travis d’Arnaud was removed from the game.
d'Arnaud leaves game with apparent injury to left thumb (or some part of hand/wrist) after making tag on Grichuk trying to score tying run. He was out, but #Braves have to hope it wasn't a costly out.

The Braves’ injury bug has not been eradicated as Travis d’Arnaud was assisted to the dugout. He left the game with an apparent left hand injury as he tagged out Randal Grichuk. Alex Jackson has donned the catcher’s gear to substitute. While our thoughts are with Travis, another thought comes to mind when considering who might be the emergency catcher. A guess would be Austin Riley. Pablo Sandoval has caught some games twelve years ago. Here is Travis leaving the game.

Let’s hope this is a short injury issue for Travis. When tough catchers come out of the game however, this might be a stay on the injured list. We may see William Contreras pretty soon. In any case, Talking Chop will keep you updated.
