The Cubs embarrassed the Braves on Saturday.

MLB: Atlanta Braves at Chicago Cubs Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Wrigley Field was unkind to the Braves on Saturday, as Huascar Ynoa and the Atlanta staff were hammered by the Cubs offense. Having three starters on the IL, plus two prominent bullpen arms, leaves the Braves with precious little depth on the staff. Could the current situation lead Atlanta to make a trade this early in the season?

Most likely, GM Alex Anthopoulos will prefer to wait until later in the season before looking to make a trade. This would allow the front office to make a better determination of whether the club will contend in 2021. Trade targets will likely materialize, especially in the bullpen, over the next couple months. Keep an eye on Atlanta as their depth continues to be tested.
