Huascar Ynoa will look to continue his good start Saturday when the Atlanta Braves continue a three-game series at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs. Ynoa has been one of the team’s biggest surprises of the young season and has a good chance to stick in the team’s rotation at least until Mike Soroka is ready to return.

Ynoa was originally cast as the starter for a bullpen game in Washington, he went out and tossed five scoreless innings while allowing two hits to go along with five strikeouts. Ynoa followed that up by allowing three hits, one run while striking out 10 over six innings against Miami.

Ynoa has seen a slight uptick in fastball velocity but his slider has been more effective as a swing and miss offering.

The Cubs will counter with right-hander Trevor Williams who will be looking to bounce back from a rough outing. Williams allowed two hits and two runs over six innings in his Chicago debut against Milwaukee, but was tagged for 10 hits and five runs in just 3 1/3 innings in his last start against Pittsburgh. Williams has pitched well in his career against Atlanta allowing nine hits and four runs in 13 innings.

Ronald Acuña Jr. continues to be a daily highlight reel for the Braves. On Friday, Acuña drove in two more runs with a double and then again showed off his speed scoring from second on an infield single. He has put up video game numbers so far hitting .429/.484/.946 with seven home runs and a 267 wRC+.

First pitch from Wrigley Field Saturday is scheduled for 2:20 p.m. ET and can be seen on Bally Sports Southeast.
