The injury bug bit the Atlanta Braves again Friday when Ender Inciarte suffered what appeared to be a leg injury while running the bases during the fourth inning against the Cubs. Inciarte led singled and then advanced to third on a double by Kyle Wright but pulled up halfway and advanced gingerly into the bag. He left the game immediately and was replaced by Guillermo Heredia.
Inciarte has been hampered by leg injuries over the last couple of seasons and those have likely played a large part in his struggles. With Cristian Pache already on the injured list, the Braves are once again down to three healthy outfielders and will likely need to make a 40-man roster move to add another if Inciarte needs to be placed on the injured list.
Atlanta was able to string some hits together in the inning and are leading the Cubs 4-1 at the end of four.
UPDATE - The Braves confirmed that it is a hamstring injury for Inciarte.
