UPDATED: Cristian Pache is placed on the Injured List with a groin issue. No corresponding move will be made until tomorrow. The only other outfielder on the 40-man roster is Guillermo Heredia. Johan Camargo is a possibility, with Drew Waters lurking as well.

Braves rookie centerfielder Cristian Pache left the Tuesday night game against the Marlins with left groin tightness, according to the team.

Pache was seen talking to the Braves’ training staff before taking an at-bat and coming out of the game. Given that he still took the at-bat, it doesn’t appear to be an incredibly serious injury, but the Braves will want to keep Pache from pushing it so early on in the season and avoid him potentially making the injury worse. With Ender Inciarte on the bench, there is an obvious option to take Pache’s playing time if he misses any time. It is unknown whether Pache will need to take a stint on the IL, but if he does, the Braves will likely bring up an outfielder to take his place on the active roster, since they only have four outfielders on the active roster.
