The first game of a four-game series between the Atlanta Braves and the Miami Marlins will be starting in a few short hours, so the lineups for both teams have been released.
Here’s how Atlanta will be looking to start off tonight’s game:

The first six spots of the lineup are filled with the regular players that you’d expect to see on the diamond for the Braves here in 2021. The seventh and the eighth spot of the lineup will include some different faces, as backups Alex Jackson and Ender Inciarte will be getting the start at catcher and center field, respectively. Jackson is currently hitless after two at-bats in 2021 so far, and Inciarte has only one hit to his name over six at-bats here in the new season. I’ll just say that tonight would be a lovely night for them to add to those numbers.

It’s looking like Jesús Aguilar will be getting a day off for the Marlins, while Jorge Alfaro is returning to the lineup after dealing with some hamstring issues over the weekend. If baseball had an injury report similar to the NFL’s protocol, he definitely would’ve been listed as “questionable” going into this game. Instead of a possible IL stint, Alfaro is getting the start at catcher.
Normally I just post the Statcast preview and leave it, but this time I just want to take note of just how hot Ronald Acuña Jr. is at the moment. Good grief.
