Offseason Priorities

1. Obviously extend Freddie as soon as possible. Both sides have made it clear that they hope to have him in a Braves uniform next year, but as we've seen with other legends, that's not guaranteed (Pujols, Glavine, Smoltz, and possibly Kershaw). Let's hope it happens and the face of the Atlanta Braves can indeed retire an Atlanta Brave!!

2. Extend Soler and Rosario. Let Duvall and Joc walk, and release/trade Ozuna. OF next Opening Day should look like this: Rosario in left, Waters/Pache in Center, and Soler in Right. At least until RAJ comes back.

3. Add another bullpen arm or two via trade or FA to go with the "Night Shift." Specifically a Graterol/Hader type reliever who can easily throw in the upper 90s-100.

4. Let Smyly walk and add another starter, because we have no idea when Soroka will be back.

5. It's probably too early for this last one, but definitely something to think about: Snit is 66 years old and under contract for 2 more years. It's fair to assume that he hangs it up after 2023 (when the contract ends) so we need to start searching for a young up and coming assistant coach somewhere. We can bring him in as an assistant and groom him so he's ready to take over after 2023. Or do we hire a former experienced manager as an assistant in some capacity and let him take over? I would say simply promote Wash after 2023 but he's 3 years older than Snit and he'll probably retire soon as well.

6. Time to begin extension talks for Fried. He's more than earned it.
