Truist Park was electrified on Sunday, with fans clinging to the hope that the Braves could close out the World Series in Game 5. Early momentum quickly faded as the Atlanta pitching staff was unable to keep the Astros offense quiet. Despite the disappointing loss, the Braves are still in the driver’s seat entering play on Tuesday. G6 will feature Atlanta left-hander Max Fried versus Houston right-hander Luis Garcia, who will pitch on short rest after starting G3 in Atlanta.
Fried was less than stellar during his only outing of the series, but will have the ultimate opportunity to atone. The 27-year-old could etch his name in Braves lore tonight, along with any other major contributors should Atlanta prevail. Fried told reporters on Monday that he is ready to ‘leave it all on the field’ to push the Braves to victory. The storylines are hardly the primary concern with a championship at stake, but anyone who can help bring a World Series to this title-starved town will become immortal in the hearts of local fans.

Braves eye clinch in 6: ‘There’s no pressure’
The Braves are loose and ready to deliver in G6.
“The pressure is getting here,” Snitker said. “We’re in the World Series right now. There’s no pressure. Like I say, it’s pressure in the [National League Championship Series] when you’re trying to get here. We all want to finish this off, but there’s no pressure.”
These 3 things will decide the 2021 WS
There are several keys to victory for each team. Among them: the pitching matchups, Fried vs. RHB, and the state of each bullpen.
The Braves can do this. They will do this.
Mark Bradley has plenty of faith in the Braves to finish the job in Houston. In fact, he says they will absolutely win the World Series.
