The Atlanta Braves will be bringing veteran infielder Ehire Adrianza to compete for a spot on the team’s bench for 2021. MLB Network’s Jon Heyman reports that the Braves and Adrianza have an agreement on a minor league deal that will presumably include an invite to big league spring training.

Adrianza spent the last four seasons with the Minnesota Twins as a shortstop and utility infielder. He struggled at the plate in 2020 hitting just .191/.287/.270 in 44 games. He brings added defensive versatility and the ability to play shortstop. Adrianza will make $1.5 million if he secures a spot on the team’s 40-man roster.
Ehire Adrianza will get $1.5M in the Majors if he makes the team, per source.

He is in agreement with the #Braves. MiLB deal with Spring Training invite. @JonHeyman reported that 1st.
Adrianza joins Pablo Sandoval as two veterans that will reportedly be in spring camp for the Braves. Atlanta has yet to confirm either signing and has not released their list of camp invitees, but that could be coming soon.
