The Atlanta Braves lost a legend last Friday with the passing of Henry Aaron at the age of 86. The team will celebrate Aaron’s life with an event at Truist Park on Tuesday starting at 1 p.m. ET.
Speakers for the event will include team chairman Terry McGuirk, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, former team owner Ted Turner, manager Brian Snitker and former players Marquis Grissom and Chipper Jones. The event will also include video tributes featuring Tom Glavine and John Smoltz, Dusty Baker and Dale Murphy, Freddie Freeman and President of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Bob Kendrick.
Tuesday’s event is set to begin at 1 p.m. ET and will air live on MLB Network, FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church starting at 1 p.m. ET. That event will also air live on FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast.
