After the exciting Freeman walk-off ending late Friday night, the Braves announced that they have optioned Huascar Ynoa to the alternate site and have called up Tucker Davidson to start on Saturday.

Many fans have been asking for Davidson to pitch for most of the season, as the Braves struggled to find starting pitching, and while Davidson is unlikely to be on the postseason roster, it should be a nice look at another good pitching prospect in Atlanta’s system and hopefully save some of the arms that will be on the postseason roster.

Many of our prospect guys on the staff like Davidson a lot, as he boasts a fastball that has touched 100 at driveline, along with a good curveball, a changeup, and a slider he has apparently been developing at the alternate site. The big 24 year old lefty was great in the minors last season and hopefully can put together a nice start here that he can build on going into next season.
