The Braves take on the Boston Red Sox in the second game of their series. Last night, the Braves emerged victorious by the score of 6-3 thanks to another strong pitching performance from Max Fried and a solid offensive effort led by the suddenly scorching hot Austin Riley.
Tonight, the lineup against a righty is a pretty familiar one with Dansby at leadoff, Freddie batting second, and known slugger Nick Markakis hitting cleanup. Travid d’Arnaud, who has cooled down a bit, occupies the fifth spot while Austin Riley, who has been hitting higher up in the order as he is arguably the teams hottest hitter, is batting sixth against the righty Weber. Ronald Acuna Jr. remains out of the lineup due to tweaking his hamstring a couple of nights ago and it is seeming more and more likely that we won’t see him until the end of the week.

For the Red Sox, Alex Verdugo, who gave Max Fried fits last night, is batting leadoff. The bottom of their order doesn’t look super imposing which, on a night where Boston is starting a former Braves prospect, means we know where the biggest source of offense is going to come from for the Red Sox.
Here’s how we line up for tonight’s game against the Braves.
