Talking Chop does OOTP, I guess?

So, since other teams' fansites have decided to do OOTP simulations, and since Talking Chop currently does not have one up itself, I've decided to take it upon myself to run a simulation. The thing is...I've never done it before. As in never. As in "I literally bought the game 10 minutes before starting to write this, and it's the first OOTP I've gotten" never. So...yay, trial by fire?

Obviously this will be a collaborative effort, since I'm still learning, and I'm hoping everyone else does. As ground rules, I will likely be acting purely as GM instead of both GM and manager, which means Snitker is still in charge. For overall direction, I was given the following directions:

-Reach the playoffs this season.

-Upgrade at shortstop this season.

-Sign Freddie Freeman to an extension.

-Acquire a Most Valuable Player Award winner.

-Build a team that can bring home a championship in the next five seasons.

Obviously very radical directions.

In seriousness, I also have a personal goal of trying to improve upper-level depth as well, since if Pache, Waters, and Jackson, along with others, need more seasoning, our next best options are...Rafael Ortega, Yangervis Solarte, and Peter O'Brien? Yeah, I'm not thrilled either. As such, if we're going to have AAA depth, I'd rather have guys who might actually have a bit of promise remaining. Unless I'm told otherwise by y'all, I'm going to try to at least revamp this portion, since I know of at least a few guys who seem to be blocked hard at the majors level.

Meanwhile, our projected lineup (by the game) is the following:

Inciarte (CF)

Albies (2B)

Freeman (1B)

Acuna (RF)

Camargo (3B)

Ozuna (LF)

Flowers (C)

Hechevarria (SS)

(Pitcher)

Bench: Swanson, Riley, D'Arnaud, Duvall, Markakis

Starters: Foltynewicz, Fried, Soroka, Wilson, Wright

Bullpen: Dayton, Greene, Jackson, Martin, Melancon, Minter, O'Day, Smith (CL)

Obviously some of this needs to be switched around some, especially in the lineup (especially with Swanson replacing Hech). As a note, the lineup listed is against both righties and lefties, and in the case of a DH Riley will slot in as DH in the 5th spot with the rest moving down one spot. However, I will rely on everyone else to help set the lineup as needed, and will take advice from those who give it. Also, the in-game decisions are as follows:

So...if there are any questions or suggestions, post them below, and hopefully I don't manage to fuck up too badly.
