Lets get this out of the way...given that Tommy Milone did almost nothing as a Brave in 2020...and in a lot of ways it was worse than nothing, there was no way that once the players to be named later on the Atlanta side of that deal were going to look good. The Braves needed some decent innings out of Milone and while no one thought that the PTBNL were going to be big names, not getting any meaningful production out of Milone was gonna sting.
The Braves completed the deal today and while no high profile names were sent out, it still isn’t awesome.
The #Braves today sent INF AJ Graffanino and INF Greg Cullen to the Baltimore Orioles to complete the clubs’ August 29 trade in which Atlanta acquired LHP Tommy Milone.

Graffanino was a very gifted defender who could play all around the infield that the Braves drafted in the 8th round of the 2018 draft. He also showed some offensive ability as well during his first season as a pro in 2018, but he only played one game in 2019 as he has been dealing with injuries throughout his time as a pro.
As for Greg Cullen, that one stings a bit more because Cullen was very highly regarded by his teammates and coaches as a second baseman with some pop and on-base skills from the left side of the plate. In his two seasons in the Braves organization, he posted a .273/.387/.400 line in 185 games and we had him in our honorable mentions from our top 30 prospects list this past offseason. The Orioles got a good one in him.
