The Braves are expected to activate Dansby Swanson from the injured list on Monday, according to MLB’s Mark Bowman.
Swanson got four more plate appearances for Rome last night. He’ll likely be activated for tomorrow’s game against the Rockies.

Swanson missed a month of action with the big league club after injuring his right heel while running the bases on July 23. He is currently with the Rome Braves and has hit well during his brief rehab stint.
For the Braves, it’s yet another piece to add to their roster as they approach the final six weeks of the season. Adeiny Hechavarria was a godsend at shortstop over the last 10 days as Johan Camargo and Charlie Culberson struggled mightily at shortstop with Dansby on the mend.
Assuming the Braves add Swanson to the roster tomorrow, it’s a bit unclear who will be optioned to Triple-A. Adam Duvall still has a minor league option left (and Rafael Ortega does not) so he would be the frontrunner barring injury during Sunday’s game in New York.
Swanson was enjoying his best season to date prior to the injury, batting .265/.330/.468 with a 102 wRC+, 17 homers and 57 RBI. More importantly, his steady glove should solidify a position that was incredibly shaky during his absence, although the afore mentioned Hechavarria did help in that regard.
UPDATE - Swanson traveled to Denver on Sunday to meet the club but the Braves will evaluate their roster options before deciding whether or not he will be activated in time for Monday’s game.
