What we were all wrong about....

Our pitching staff on opening day.

We only have 2 of our opening day starters (Teheran and Fried) still in the rotation and only 2 of our opening day bullpen (Tomlin and Jackson) still on the team.

Most expected Teheran and Tomlin to be gone by now and Fried to be a 5th starter that goes up and down, but instead practically everyone else had major regressions this year.

Folty has had one of the worst seasons in memory for our #1 pitcher going into the season. Newcomb was considered our #2. Wright and Wilson were expected to be major parts of the rotation for the entire season. Gausman was expected to be back in the #3-4 role. Teheran was expected to be traded/cut.

Minter was expected to be our lefty closer alongside Vizcaino. Venter, Biddle, Carle, and Winkler were all expected to still be on the team 3 months into the season. Toussaint was expected to play a significant role in the season as well.

(And then we trade for three guys at the deadline who have been having good seasons elsewhere and they come in and have horrible starts with the Braves. I really wonder if there is something pitching strategy wise that is the culprit for soooo many pitchers this year for us being terrible.)
