Now is when Brian Snitker gets to earn his paycheck. It seems reality has set in a bit for the Braves when it comes to their lineup options in the absence of Dansby Swanson, Austin Riley, and Nick Markakis. Adam Duvall’s initial hot streak out of the gate delayed the inevitable for a bit, but his return to reality has helped make things clear for the Braves. The honest truth is that each night they will have to choose between Duvall, Joyce and Johan Camargo to start. This can be done effectively through the usage of statistics and analytics. While those three options are not anything to get excited about, they can be valuable if utilized with logic.

As talented as the Mets pitching is, their offense has added significant value as well. Both Jeff McNeil and Pete Alonso are arguably Top 10 MVP candidates, with Alonso still the favorite for the NL Rookie of the Year award. However, the rest of the order has delivered as well, especially in clutch situations. This lineup has plenty of talent, just some of the talent has been inconsistent. However, the Mets are showing how dangerous they can be when everyone is playing to their potential.
