Riley, Donaldson, Freeman power Braves to 12-5 win over the Pirates
Austin Riley, Josh Donaldson and Freddie Freeman all homered as the Braves scored 10 unanswered runs to come from behind to defeat the Pirates 12-5.
Braves, Yankees are favorites to sign Dallas Keuchel, per report
MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reports that the Braves and Yankees are the favorites to land free agent starter Dallas Keuchel. Feinsand followed up a bit later saying that the Yankees are probably the clear favorite but as we know, situations like this one can change quickly so this is worth monitoring.

Andrew McCutchen Out For Season With Torn ACL
The worst news for Andrew McCutchen and the Philadelphia Phillies. An MRI exam revealed that McCutchen has a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the 2019 season. McCutchen suffered the injury while trying to elude a tag in a run down in Monday’s game against the Padres.
Miggy to play through chronic right knee injury
Knee issues forced Miguel Cabrera out of the lineup during last weekend’s series in Atlanta. He received a measure of good news on Tuesday in that he can return to the lineup but will be limited to DH duties. An MRI revealed a chronic condition in Cabrera’s knee, and while surgery was discussed, it was ultimately decided that treating the issue on a day-to-day bases was the best course of action.
McNeil back from IL; Mets’ injury updates
The New York Mets activated Jeff McNeil on Tuesday and could be close to getting some more reinforcements back soon. The Mets said that Robinson Cano, Justin Wilson Brandon Nimmo and Dominic Smith are progressing from their various injuries and could all be back soon.
