The Atlanta Braves salvaged a series win over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday with a 7-4 win at SunTrust Park. They complete a 2-3 homestand and for now, trail the Philadelphia Phillies by 1.5 games in the NL East pending the outcome of Philadelphia’s game in Los Angeles.
Julio Teheran worked in and out of trouble over five scoreless innings while Dansby Swanson did most of the heavy lifting going 2-for-3 at the plate with his 12th homer and three RBIs. The Braves will now head out on a six-game road trip that will take them to Pittsburgh and Miami.
