The Braves’ high profile, midseason acquisition is set to make his season debut on Friday.

Ever since the Braves signed Dallas Keuchel seemingly out of nowhere, fans have been eager to see him take the mound for the Braves. The Braves rotation has had some inconsistency especially from the spot that was formerly occupied by Kevin Gausman before he was placed on the injured list.

Well, it appears that, barring the the unforeseen, Keuchel will in fact be sliding into that spot in the rotation and making his debut on Friday.

Keuchel has made two total starts in the minor leagues in preparation for his season debut and he went seven innings in both of those starts and has given up a total of three runs on twelve hits while striking out 13.

Before his lengthy stay on the free agent market, Keuchel threw 204.2 innings in 34 starts for the Houston Astros last year while posting a 3.74 ERA, 3.69 FIP, and struck out 6.73 batters per nine innings pitched.
