The Atlanta Braves overcame a four-run deficit in the ninth and outlasted the Miami Marlins in 12 innings with a 7-6 win on Sunday. The Braves sweep the series and close to within one game of the Philadelphia Phillies for the NL East lead.
Braves sign first round pick Shea Langeliers, per report
The Braves have agreed to an underslot deal with ninth overall pick Shea Langeliers according to a report by Jon Heyman. The deal is worth a reported $4 million which would give the Braves just under a million in savings for them to use on the remainder of their draft class.

Mets place Robinson Cano (quad) on IL
Robinson Cano’s comeback didn’t last long as the Mets have placed him back on the injured list due to quadriceps tightness. Cano initially sustained the injury back on May 22 and missed 12 games. He returned on June 5 and aggravated the same injury while trying to beat out a double play ball. Cano is hitting just .238 with three home runs in 46 games so far this season.
