The Atlanta Braves will take the field at Champion Stadium for the final time on Saturday when they host the New York Mets. Atlanta will play its first spring training game at their new complex in Tampa on Sunday before breaking camp and returning to SunTrust Park for a pair of exhibition games next week.
Josh Tomlin will make his spring debut for Atlanta on Saturday after signing a minor league deal this past Thursday. He made five spring appearances while with the Brewers allowing 12 hits and eight earned runs in 15 innings. He will be looking to make an impression in hopes of landing one of the final spots on the Braves’ Opening Day roster.
