Voting results for the 2019 National Baseball Hall of Fame class will be announced on Tuesday live on the MLB Network. This year’s ballot features 15 holdovers from last season and 20 first-timers for a total of 35 players. Players need to receive 75 percent of the vote to gain induction. Those receiving 75 percent of the vote will join Lee Smith and Harold Baines who were voted in by the Today’s Game committee during the Winter Meetings.

Former Atlanta Braves’ great Fred McGriff is in his 10th and final year on the ballot. Per Ryan Thibodaux’s excellent tracker of publicly revealed brackets, McGriff has seen a significant uptick in support. Of 212 public votes as of Monday night, McGriff has received 45 more than last year but is still only polling at 38.7 percent which is far shy of the required 75 percent for induction. Baines’ election combined with the increased support leads one to believe that McGriff may fare well eventually with the era committees.

Andruw Jones is also part of this ballot and has gained just three votes over last year. He has received a total of 18 votes of the 212 that have been recorded which equals 8.3 percent. Jones need to maintain 5 percent of the vote to remain on the ballot.

Mariano Rivera, Roy Halladay and Edgar Martinez appear to be on their way to induction with all three receiving more than 90 percent of the vote in the tracker. Mike Mussina is currently on the bubble at 81.6 percent in the tracker but there are still many more votes that have yet to be revealed.

The announcement will televised live on the MLB Network and simulcast on MLB.com with coverage getting underway at 3 p.m. ET. The announcement is scheduled to come shortly after 6 p.m.

Induction weekend will take place on July 19-20 in Cooperstown, New York.
