Should Braves give Pollock 1-year deal?’s Mark Bowman discusses the pros and cons to giving free agent outfielder A.J. Pollock a similar contract to the one they gave Josh Donaldson earlier this offseason. We don't know yet if Pollock’s market is reduced to the point that he would entertain one-year offers but if it does then it is something Atlanta should seriously consider.

Padres moving Wil Myers to the outfield, might need third baseman

The San Diego Padres are moving Wil Myers back to the outfield for the 2019 season. Myers spent two seasons in San Diego as their starting first baseman but was displaced by the signing of Eric Hosmer. He began last season in the outfield but ended it at third base where he struggled defensively.

Is Arenado’s future in Denver?

Nolan Arenado is headed to arbitration and could come away with a payday around $25 million. However,’s Thomas Harding reports that the Rockies are hoping that $25 million is a starting point to a long term contract for the slugging third baseman.

White Sox Sign Randall Delgado, Jacob Lindgren, D.J. Peterson

A couple of ex-Braves pitchers have a new home with the Chicago White Sox. Both Randall Delgado and Jacob Lindgren have agreed to minor league contracts with the club. Delgado spent the last few seasons in Arizona but tossed just 11 1/3 innings in 2018 after being slowed by an oblique strain. Lindgren has spent the last two seasons on Atlanta’s 40-man roster but underwent a second Tommy John surgery last season and was outright off the 40-man back in October.

Rays Interested In Matt Davidson

The Tampa Bay Rays are reportedly interested in free agent Matt Davidson and are eyeing him as a potential two-way player. Davidson hit 46 home runs over the last two seasons with the White Sox but also made three appearances out of the bullpen allowing one hit over 3 1/3 scoreless innings. Davidson has spent the offseason working to improve as a pitcher and could get an opportunity in Tampa.
