Culberson in, Albies sits in Miami finale

The Braves won’t have to face J.T. Realmuto today, either.

Here’s how the Braves will line up for their season finale with the Marlins:

Charlie Culberson gets the start for Ozzie Albies, who is in a dreadful slump. Ender Inciarte is back in the second spot in the lineup, and Tyler Flowers gets the start behind the plate.

Flowers and Dansby Swanson were not in the lineup when Pablo Lopez started against the Braves a couple of weeks ago; as mentioned in the preview, Ronald Acuña Jr. connected for a leadoff homer off Lopez in that game. In fact, everyone but Freddie Freeman and Ozzie Albies got a knock off Lopez when they faced him.

Meanwhile, the Marlins are sallying forth without J.T. Realmuto:

This entire lineup has also faced Gausman before, but only for a handful of PAs, with the exception of Starlin Castro, who is intimately familiar with his former AL East opponent. Austin Dean and Magneuris Sierra are hitless against the righty, but every other Marlin in the lineup collected at least one hit against him when they last tangled.

This is the first time either team is using its particular batting order. The Marlins have never used a 1-2 punch of Rafael Ortega and Brian Anderson, until now.
