The Braves have rearranged their starting rotation dramatically following the rain out of their matchup with the Marlins on Wednesday.

Braves juggle rotation following Wednesday’s rain out

After the torrential downpour that swept over Atlanta on Wednesday, the Braves now have an opportunity to re-assess their starting rotation going into a weekend series with the Mets. Braves beat writer Mark Bowman shares the projected rotation over the next five days:

Ton of promotions in the Braves minor leagues as Pache, Waters, and Contreras all moved up

In addition to shuffling their starting rotation around, the Braves announced multiple promotions in the minor league system on Wednesday. Right hander Bryse Wilson will head to Gwinnett, Cristian Pache goes to Mississippi, and both Drew Waters and William Contreras will join the Florida Fire Frogs.

Grading Alex Anthopoulos’ first trade deadline in Atlanta

Our own Matt Powers examines each move made by the Braves at the Trade Deadline, and grades each one individually while also handing out an overall grade for GM Alex Anthopoulos. Atlanta made four trades, acquiring multiple potentially helpful pieces along the way, though they may be smaller pieces than some may have preferred. Anthopoulos was able to upgrade the club both in the short and long term, while not surrendering any of his most prized young assets.
