The Atlanta Braves will juggle their rotation again following Wednesday’s rain out against the Marlins. Mike Foltynewicz will make his scheduled start on Thursday in New York against the Mets. Anibal Sanchez will move back to Friday which will push Kevin Gausman’s debut to Saturday. Julio Teheran will get the nod in Sunday’s series finale.

Wednesday’s makeup game will be part of a doubleheader with the Marlins when they return home on Monday. Sean Newcomb will start one of those games. Max Fried will be in the bullpen for the next few days and will likely start the other game of the doubleheader if available.

Wednesday’s rainout sets up a gauntlet for Atlanta who will play 58 games in 60 days to close out the regular season. If there is a silver lining though it is that Sean Newcomb will be pitching with three extra days of rest after throwing a career-high 134 pitches in his last start.
