Folty looks to put a stop to Atlanta’s two-game skid

MLB: Game Two-Miami Marlins at Atlanta Braves Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Mike Foltynewicz will be on the mound Saturday when the Atlanta Braves hope to snap a two-game skid when they continue their series against the Colorado Rockies. Atlanta dropped the first two games of the series and are now 6-3 on their current homestand. The Braves lead the Philadelphia Phillies by a half game in the NL East Standings entering play on Saturday.

Foltynewicz will be looking to put an end to the losing skid and continue his recent surge. Folty has allowed two earned runs or less in each of his last three starts and is coming off a strong start last time out in which he allowed five hits and one run over eight innings against the Marlins.

The Rockies will counter with right-hander Antonio Senzatela who will be activated from the 10-day disabled list to make Saturday’s start. Senzatela has been sidelined due to right shoulder inflammation since early August. He has appeared in 15 games overall for Colorado including five starts. He last pitched on August 2 where he allowed five hits and one run over six innings against the Cardinals.
