The Atlanta Braves are currently hotter than the surface of the sun after winning 13 of their last 17 games and are looking to finish off the lowly Marlins in a sweep tonight.
Kevin Gausman will be the starter for Atlanta and will be facing Miami for the first time in a Braves uniform. Gausman has been everything the Braves had hoped for when they acquired him from the Orioles at the trade deadline going 13 innings with 4 runs allowed so far. Gausman’s last start against a Playoff team in Milwaukee was brilliant as he went 8 strong innings allowing just one run and striking out 8.
His opponent tonight will be Jose Urena who is having a decent season, but not a great one by any stretch. Urena owns a 4.74 ERA and 4.15 FIP over 129 innings with 104 strikeouts. All eyes will be on the first batter he will have to face tonight as Braves phenom Ronald Acuna looks to make history with another home run in tonight’s game.
It promises to be a fun matchup tonight and the eyes of the sporting world are on the young Braves right now as they’re doing something truly special.
