Newly acquired starter Kevin Gausman will join the Atlanta Braves in New York on Thursday and is tentatively scheduled to start Friday’s game against the Mets. Weather issues for Wednesday’s series finale against the Marlins could alter those plans but it appears a safe bet that we will see Gausman on Friday or Saturday.

The Braves made a roster move on Wednesday returning Kolby Allard to Gwinnett and recalling RHP Wes Parsons. An additional move will be required on Thursday with Gausman’s arrival.
The Braves acquired Gausman along with reliever Darren O’Day shortly before Tuesday’s trade deadline. Atlanta sent four prospects to Baltimore in the deal. Gausman made 21 starts for the Orioles and has a 4.43 ERA in 124 innings. Per Baseball Reference, he has been worth 2.3 bWAR so far this season.
