The Atlanta Braves look to capture another series win on Sunday when they wrap up a four-game set against the Miami Marlins. The Braves will send lefty Sean Newcomb to the mound while the Marlins will counter with right hander Jose Urena.
Atlanta launched four home runs including two from Freddie Freeman in Saturday’s 10-5 victory. Freeman has three homers in the series and recorded a five-hit game in Thursday’s opener. He is 8-for-12 at the plate with four runs scored and three walks in the series.
Newcomb is coming off an outstanding outing where he allowed two hits over six innings in a win over Tampa Bay. Newcomb has allowed just four hits and no runs over his last 13 innings. He has struck out 14 and walked just four over that span.
Urena comes into Sunday having posted a 4.37 ERA over eight starts. He allowed seven hits and three runs over 5.1 innings last time out against the Chicago Cubs. Urena is 2-3 with a 5.54 ERA in 10 career appearances against Atlanta.
