Julio Teheran came out of Sunday’s bullpen session okay and is on track to make Wednesday’s start against the New York Mets according to Braves’ manager Brian Snitker.

Teheran exited Friday’s start after just 43 pitches with what was described as upper trapezius tightness near his right shoulder. He played catch on Saturday but needed to get through Sunday’s session to remain on track for Wednesday’s start.

Anibal Sanchez is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Monday and if all goes well, could return to the rotation on Saturday when the team needs a fifth starter.

The Braves scratched top pitching prospect Mike Soroka from his scheduled start on Sunday as a contingency plan for Teheran and Sanchez but it doesn’t appear that he will be needed at this juncture.
