Ozzie Albies got things started with a bang jumping on the first pitch he saw from Vince Velasquez and driving it into the bleachers in right. Albies would add a double giving him 22 extra-base hits in April which is one shy of the major league record of 23 held by Jermaine Dye.

Johan Camargo finished off Velasquez in the third launching a three-run shot to give the Braves a 6-0 lead. It was Camargo’s first home run of the season.

Jesse Biddle is a former first-round pick of the Phillies and he came back to haunt them Sunday as he doubled home Kurt Suzuki in his first career at bat. Biddle also pitched two scoreless innings in relief and struck out five of the seven batters he faced.
