Ryan Flaherty got the Braves on the board after the Braves were down 2-0 with this RBI double.
Dansby Swanson almost stole a win for the Braves in the bottom of the eighth, but his RBI single earlier in the game gave the Braves a lead.
Speaking of nearly stealing that win, well here it is. This was Dansby’s third hit on the night and first extra-base hit of 2018. On first glance, it looked pretty clear that Peter Bourjos, who was pinch-running for Preston Tucker, had scored on the play, but the Phillies challenged and the review showed that Peter both slid in a way to make sure he went into the tag as well as didn’t touch home plate. This made us sad.

Earlier in the game, Kurt Suzuki was pulled due to being hit in the hand with a pitch. The Braves were already short-handed at catcher with the loss the day before of Tyler Flowers. Here is what manager Brian Snitker had to say about Suzuki’s status for Saturday’s game (and beyond),
Finally, here is starter Mike Foltynewicz talking about his start and some of the pitches he wished he could have had back. Overall, a strong outing for Folty in allowing three runs (two earned) in five innings while striking out seven batters.
