One of the sore spots from the 2017 season was just how bad the Braves’ bullpen was. Only the Reds, Padres, and Tigers had worse bullpens in terms of fWAR than the Braves in 2017 (with a rather unfortunate 1.1 fWAR total) and there were a lot of guilty parties. Jim Johnson had stretches of being ok and stretches of being REALLY not ok. Jason Motte, Josh Collmenter, Eric O’Flaherty....well, there were a lot guys that did not perform well.
With the Braves likely to sport a heavily retooled bullpen that will feature the likes of AJ Minter, Arodys Vizcaino, Dan Winkler, and Peter Moylan among others, today’s off-day poll will ask the very basic question ‘how good will the Braves’ bullpen be in 2018?’. Let us know your reasoning in the comments’ section and fear not, tomorrow there will be ACTUAL baseball being played as the 2018 baseball season is finally upon us.
