On a similar note, MLB Pipeline’s Mike Rosenbaum reports from Braves minor league camp and talks with Minor League field coordinator Dave Trembley about the valuable experience many of the prospects got as part of major league camp.
“It’s exciting for us to be moving our younger players to the [Major League] side like we have this spring,” Braves Minor League field coordinator Dave Trembley said. “They’re getting recognized and getting closer to playing at that level, and I think it’s been good exposure for a lot of our guys to go over there.”

I’m working on all my pitches to lefties, righties. Nothing too specific or mechanical changes, but just working on my craft, working on throwing pitchers where I want to, when I want to. My goal every season is to manage a workload and stay healthy, and I think that if I do that, then the results will take care of themselves. I’m a day-by-day guy, so if I get better every day, I’ll be able to look back at the end of this season and view it as a success.

Orioles sign Alex Cobb to 4-year deal
The Baltimore Orioles reportedly have a deal in place with free agent starter Alex Cobb. Per reports, the deal is for four years and is somewhere in the $50-60 million range.
The Oakland Athletics have agreed to a minor-league deal with veteran starter Brett Anderson. Anderson struggled with the Cubs last season posting an 8.18 ERA in 22 innings. He was released on July 31.
Nationals option top prospect Victor Robles to minors
Ronald Acuna isn’t the only top prospect that will begin the season in the minors. The Washington Nationals optioned outfielder Victor Robles on Tuesday.
